Update on COVID-19 Procedures + Latest News

Dear Families and Students of Musical Arts of Dover,

We are all facing unprecedented, challenging times and changes to our schedules with our global health crisis, and we want you to know that we are working to make music and dance lessons accessible in ways that also protect your health!

We know that a music and arts outlet is uplifting and contributes to a strong immune system as well as improved mental health and wellness.

To ensure the safety of our students and staff and follow recommended social distancing, all in-studio, in-person lessons at Musical Arts of Dover will take place online for the next two weeks, and if necessary into the coming month.

Music Students: All of our private music instructors are available to teach lessons through FaceTime or Skype. Please reach out to your teacher to set up a time that works for your private lesson this week!

NOTE: The March 27th Showcase is cancelled; however, if your student would like to submit a video as a showcase for the Musical Arts Facebook and Instagram pages, feel free to send videos to musicalartsd3@gmail.com with a description of your selection!

Dance students: Alexis is developing videos for each dance class with step-by-step stretching, conditioning and choreography to do at home. Students will have the opportunity to respond with their own video submissions, as well as participate in weekly live check-ins. Look for a follow-up email with details for your, or your student’s class.

Salsa classes are cancelled for the rest of March. Stay tuned for video/ dance instruction tutorials from Pablo if online classes remain necessary in April.

We understand that many may experience financial hardship in the coming weeks, and if you are considering discontinuing lessons for this reason, please reach out to see if we may be able to offer discounted lessons for the remainder of the school year. Should lessons continue to be online only, in the month of April, all students will receive $10 off private lessons and $5 off group lessons. Please note, that our policy for discontinuing lessons is a 30 day notice submitted through a withdrawal form. It is our hope that we can accommodate everyone and continue to inspire joy through music and dance during this difficult time.

Looking forward to strengthening our community connection through music and dance!

All the Best,

Hannah and Bryan Bessette, and the Staff of Musical Arts of Dover
